Flakka

Director & Colorist: Coleman Mason

Flakka – Short Film Flakka, directed by Coleman Mason, is a visceral short film inspired by the notorious street drug often referred to as the “zombie drug.” The story dives into the chaos, paranoia, and psychological unraveling tied to its use, capturing the raw edges of human experience through bold, atmospheric storytelling. The film gained recognition on the festival circuit as a Semi-Finalist at the Los Angeles CineFest, the Hollywood Screenings Film Festival, and Short to the Point, underscoring its creative resonance. As the director and colorist, I shaped the film’s visual language from concept to final grade, designing a look that amplifies both the tension and the unsettling intensity at the heart of Flakka.
